Retracted – Deleted Messages (“Retracted”) is an iPhone app that keeps, on your device, the text of the notifications you choose to forward to it through a Shortcuts automation that you install and turn on yourself.
In short: your data stays on your iPhone. We have no server, we don’t ask for an account, and we don’t collect anything.
What the app processes
The name of the app that sent the notification, and the notification’s title, subtitle, text and date — only for notifications your own automation forwards to Retracted.
Where it is stored
Only on your device, in the app’s private storage. Like any app data, it may be included in your iCloud or computer backups if you have turned them on.
What we don’t do
- No data is sent to our servers — we don’t have any.
- No data is shared with or sold to third parties.
- No advertising, profiling, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Your messages are never used to train models.
- No account is required.
Deleting your data
Deleting a message in the app removes it for good. Settings › Delete All Messages erases everything the app kept. You can also choose how long messages are kept, and exclude contacts. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your iPhone.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple through the App Store. We don’t see your identity or your payment method.
